An easy stir fried cabbage and asparagus dish made cooked in garlic ginger, soy sauce, and chili crisps
3 tablespoons canola or peanut oil
1 large green cabbage, chopped
1 small white onion, sliced
2 scallions, chopped
8 asparagus spears, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons peeled and minced ginger
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 cup chicken broth or water
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoon spicy chili crisps (just use 1 tbsp if sensitive to spicy food)
Salt & pepper, to taste
- Heat a wok or large deep skillet over medium high heat for a few minutes then add in the oil. Stir in the garlic, ginger, scallions, and brown sugar and it them cook for 20 seconds then add in the cabbage, onions, and asparagus. Turn the heat to high and stir constantly for another 3-4 minutes.
- Add in the soy sauce, broth, chili crisps and continue to cook until the cabbage is tender. Add in more soy sauce if desired and garnish with sesame seeds. Season with salt & pepper if needed. Serve and enjoy!
