All you need for this recipe is semi-sweet chocolate and heavy cream. Many people add flavoring by using extracts or liqueurs, Grand Marnier is a popular flavoring if you’re into that.
I recommend using quality chocolate such as a Bakers or Ghirardelli. I used Bakers semi sweet and I really enjoy how the sweetness from the cake balances the dark chocolate. Try chopping your chocolate as fine as possible. This will help the chocolate melt faster and consistently.
Be careful to not boil the heavy cream. All you want to do is heat it on medium low until it simmers.
