You ever have a taste for something sweet but don’t really feel like baking? I know most of us would probably just drive to the closest bakery or grocery store but homemade desserts remain undefeated, especially if you have all of the ingredients. A quick peach cobbler or peach crumble is pretty much what comes to mind when I’m in the mood for something sweet. It checks all the boxes for the simple, sweet, and delicious dessert. It’s seasoned with some of our favorite seasonal flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg and the crumble is buttery and flaky. What’s not to love? The prep work is minimal and this peach crumble bakes to perfection. What I love about this recipe is that it can be baked in a medium size dish but also it’s great for individual dessert dishes. Valentine’s Day is coming up and this would be the cutest dessert for two!
How to make this easy Peach Crumble
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375°. In a medium size pot over medium high heat combine the peaches (including the liquid), sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir everything together, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer the peaches for another 8-10 minutes.
Step 2
To make the crumble combine the flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and melted butter together. Stir everything together to combine. You should have small, medium, and large crumble pieces. If you are making this for a large gathering I would suggest using 1 and 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup of butter.
Step 3
Fill a small to medium sized baking dish or ramekins with the peaches. Using a ladle, pour enough liquid over the peaches to cover most of them. You do not have to use all of the liquid, I don’t. Top with the crumble and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let the peach crumble cool slightly before serving.
