How to Make a New York Sour
Add the lemon simple syrup, lemon juice, bourbon, and egg white to a shaker. Dry shake for 1 full minute then add in the ice and shake for 20 seconds. Double strain the cocktail into an old-fashioned or coupe class. Float in the red wine using the back of a spoon.

Ingredients
- 1 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 2 ounce Bourbon
- 1 egg white
- Ice
- Red wine (Cabernet or any dry red wine)
Instructions
- Add the lemon simple syrup, lemon juice, bourbon, and egg white to a shaker. Dry shake for 1 full minute then add in the ice and shake for 20 seconds. Double strain the cocktail into an old-fashioned or coupe class.
- Float in the red wine using the back of a spoon.
Notes
Egg white substitution: aquafaba. You can always leave the egg white out if you don’t prefer it.
