This Maple Whiskey Sour is probably in my top 5 because I love bourbon and a creamy foam. Enjoying this during the fall and winter months is always a treat because the bourbon will definitely warm you up while enjoying two of the seasons favorite flavors; maple and cinnamon.
We will be using egg white to create the luscious foam however if you’re not into egg white, then you can leave it out. When working with egg white, especially if making these for a group of people its important to make sure your work area and hands are clean. It’s very easy to transfer bacteria if not using proper precautions when handling egg white.
Safely mixing egg white into the cocktail:
For this cocktail we will be doing the dry shake method first then adding the ice. It’s important to shaking the egg white with the bourbon and lemon juice to break down the egg white before adding in the ice to thin it out. I like to shake for 1 full minute each time.
