Cranberry Gin Fizz

2.4K

A gin fizz is one of my favorite frothy and bubbly cocktails. The Cranberry Gin Fizz features a homemade cranberry simple syrup, egg white, gin, citrus, and chilled prosecco. It’s sweet, tart, and has a nice frothy top that adds tons of body and texture in each sip.

You can make this cocktail without egg white if that’s not your thing and it will still be wonderful.

How to make a Cranberry Gin Fizz

Cranberry Simple Syrup

  1. Heat the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Add in the cranberries and bring everything to a boil then reduce the heat to low. As the cranberries begin to break down you will hear them pop, start smashing them with a spoon or fork.
  2. Once the liquid thickens to a syrup consistency, remove the pot from the stove.
  3. Strain the syrup into a container using a mesh strainer and discard the cranberries.

Cranberry Gin Fizz

Add the egg white, lemon juice, 1 oz of cranberry simple syrup, and gin to a cocktail shaker. Dry shake for one full minute then add in the ice and shake for 30 seconds. Pour the cocktail into a highball glass and top will prosecco. Garnish with a small piece of rosemary.
