This Blood Orange Espresso Gin & Tonic is perfect for coffee and Gin & Tonic (GT) lovers. I know these two ingredients may sound like an odd pair but surprisingly, they play very well together. I am a coffee girl so honestly, anything with coffee in it is a must-try for me. This cocktail is built right in a high-ball glass. I like to layer the ingredients starting with the blood orange juice and espresso. For this cocktail, you can use freshly brewed (room temp) espresso or a cold brew coffee liqueur such as Mr. Black. Since this cocktail will be served over ice, I recommend quality ice or at least filtered. I used Hendricks gin but you can use your favorite brand.
I like to think of this cocktail as the cooler-carefree cousin to the Espresso Martini.
